Let’s go a different direction today – as I find a good way to tap into my creative side is to dump it into the uncomfortable deep end of the pool.
Today’s prompt is “Kansas” ... A place I have never been.
In retrospect, that hasn’t stopped me from incorporating it into poems before; I have an ex-lover who originated from here and Kansas was as much a part of him as the jaded Las Vegas.
I identify myself as a Pacific Northwest poet. I have been writing poetry since 1976- and yes - I have been using the pen-name Ariel all this time! I can often be found writing in the Willamette Valley, in Pacific forests or along the Coastlines on Oregon.
