Day 17 of November’s Challenges & poem

September 17, or – as my people think of it – four months until St. Patrick’s Day! I’m wearing the green today!

Been busy doing a lot of novelling last night & today on Everybody Likes Pie. Continue reading “Day 17 of November’s Challenges & poem”

Day 16 NovPAD prompts …

It’s Thursday which means a full day and I’m on the run. Let me share today’s writing challenges prompts.

And, yes, this is being composed on my phone because I’m on the run today, so it’s a stripped down version …. Continue reading “Day 16 NovPAD prompts …”

Day 15 – Halfway done with November … and a poem

Halfway there! Of course, I refer to – not word count – but time. And if you find yourself not even halfway through the poems , not even at the 25K word count  at the end of today, that’s okay… We still have another 15 days; plenty of time still to write! Continue reading “Day 15 – Halfway done with November … and a poem”

Day 14 – 2 weeks of November Challenges

Still trying to catch up from last week’s detour – but today makes the Two Week Mark for my four November challeges: Writer’s NovPAD, Poetry Potion’s Poem-A-Day, National Novel Writing Month, and my personal Zentangle-A-Day. I think any one participating in a November challenge should get real-time points for just sticking with it! Tomorrow makes our half-way point … Continue reading “Day 14 – 2 weeks of November Challenges”

Day 13 Sharing a NovPAD poem, Calling

It’s Monday – Which for me  is one of the days fully scheduled, so I’m running today …

I usually have a theme in mind before a PAD challenge ensues – but this year my mind felt no pull towards a particular subject – So I thought I would then see what theme will develop through the month … and one has starting with Day 1.  Let me share my current draft … Continue reading “Day 13 Sharing a NovPAD poem, Calling”

Day 12 – Almost Week 2 and the struggle is real …

I really admire how Robert Lee Brewer creates a poem to share with each of his PAD prompts.

I want to do that – really, really want to do that on my Poem-A-Day challenges.  I also want to have my post Continue reading “Day 12 – Almost Week 2 and the struggle is real …”

Day 11 and SteamPunk Masquerade Ball!

steampunk+ball+flyer (1)So … in September I found myself a member of the committee to put on Salem’s Inaugural SteamPunk Masquerade Ball. So the past two months we have been gearing up for it. And tonight’s The Night! Continue reading “Day 11 and SteamPunk Masquerade Ball!”

Day 9 Write If It’s November

RLB’s prompt Nov PAD prompt is “(blank) if (blank).

And with that my poem for the day will start : Continue reading “Day 9 Write If It’s November”

Day 8 NovPAD 1 week down

So the first week of the challengees is now officially in the bag. How you holding up?

As for me, the housework is slipping as the writing steps up. My projects are revving up; the poeming, the novel-writing, the art … and the demanding weather-proofing that November’s weather demands.  Continue reading “Day 8 NovPAD 1 week down”

Day 7 NovPAD Poeming today with TL Cooper

I sat today in a south Salem Starbucks with one of my favorite poets, and people, TL Cooper for a poeming session …

Well, that was our intention-  poeming and blogging. Continue reading “Day 7 NovPAD Poeming today with TL Cooper”

Day 6 Trying to squeeze in my NovPAD & NaNoWriMo

Today is Monday, and for me it’s one of my few scheduled days. And today has an extra trip folded into it.

So naturally, the Gremlins are excited and active … Continue reading “Day 6 Trying to squeeze in my NovPAD & NaNoWriMo “

Day 5 NovPAD & NaNoWriMo Party Day …

So Nov 5th … or Day 5 as I call it. 🙂

I’m starting to get in the groove of writing – and as I’ve done in the past – the more I producive I am at writing, the more productive I am at the non-writing chores.   Of course, some is the natural procrastination we writers have:  Choice A: Wash out the garbage bins that now has it’s own culture thriving in their depths or Choice B Write your character out of a spot of trouble …  Choice A it is! Continue reading “Day 5 NovPAD & NaNoWriMo Party Day …”

Day 3 & 4 Poeming, Bogarts, and Steampunk – Oh My!

So yesterday was a silent – but productive day.

Silent – as  the devices I had access toinfested with bogarts & brownies and not letting me communicate with anyone (no keyboard, no mobile internet, heck – no clocks) and those that miht have worked … were missing or hidden. <rueful smile>  No posting; no writing.  Continue reading “Day 3 & 4 Poeming, Bogarts, and Steampunk – Oh My!”

Day 2 NovPAD 2017

Today will be short – as I’m between apppointments right now.

NovPAD

Brewer has suggested writing a “disguise poem” today.

Mia Botha’s prompt is “wind“.

NaNoWriMo

NaNo’s suggestion for your novelling today is “write a world where electricity and light are living creatiures and some people can communicate with them“.

Zentangle

20171030b Zentangle croppedI am challenging myself to create one zentangle a day during November. I’ve been so caught up, as CC Willow, in marketing my art that I really have not had a chance to play &  create more.

Now scooting myself to group yoga …

Day 1 November’s Poem-A Day Challenge

I’ve been looking forward to today.  It’s the start of two writing challenges – November’s Poem-A-Day Chapbook Challenge (NovPAD) & National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)!

I do both. In fact, overacheiver that I am, I usually do multiple PAD challenges. It started with Poetic Asides’ challenge hosted by Writer’s Digest’s own Robert Lee Brewer; Continue reading “Day 1 November’s Poem-A Day Challenge”
