Saturday’s poetry prompt is “rimjhimc – a light tapping sound produced by a series of raindrops rapidly falling and hitting onto a surface”.
Write a love poem featuring or including rimjhim.
I frequently utilize the sound of rain in my poems – But then again – I DO live in the Pacific Northwest. It is very effective for setting a mood or using as a metaphor for human emotions. AS an example of a rimjhim poem – I am offering Faerabella*…
*Faerabella is a Pacific Northwest trio that plays very atmospheric jazz – dark and a little sullen.

My archive of blog’ poetry prompts is here. You know – I’m all about the prompts!!
I identify myself as a Pacific Northwest poet. I have been writing poetry since 1976- and yes - I have been using the pen-name Ariel all this time! I can often be found writing in the Willamette Valley, in Pacific forests or along the Coastlines on Oregon.
