Today, I want to note that it is International Day of Non-Violence. As an advocate of peace, I just can’t let a day like this go unremarked on. As someone who has participated in local political movements for 30 years,  using non-violence methods,  I know I am always very grateful for Gandhi’s teachings anytime I can participate in a march, knowing I will most likely make it home safe afterward.

Today, besides using the daily prompt, I will be writing some poems about non-violence.

Now onto the fun halloweeny prompt … Oct 2nd’s prompt is “the monster in the cabinet”.
