Nothing to me is a scary & spooky as a spider. And many stories use them to up the fear factor. Tolkein inserts the Spiders of Mirkwood in Hobbit & Shelob in Return of the King. Aragog & his children in Harry Potter. In Doctor Who, itis the arachnoids, (Think I geek much?) Arachnophobia. The early myths of Arachne. Etcetera, etcetera etcetera.
So let’s have Saturday, Oct 20th’s, prompt be “the spiders”
Need help! I have a poll on Twitter & on Facebook. Vote and help me decide?. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Looking for patrons so I will have the funds to continue offering this blog – Patreon is a membership platform that makes it easy for creators to get paid.
For patrons, Patreon is a way to join your favorite creator’s community and pay them for making the stuff you love. By supporting a creator with a few bucks per month, your favorite creators can make a living doing what they do best (for me – that’s poetry) because of you! And you become a bonafide, real-life patron of the arts.
I identify myself as a Pacific Northwest poet. I have been writing poetry since 1976- and yes - I have been using the pen-name Ariel all this time! I can often be found writing in the Willamette Valley, in Pacific forests or along the Coastlines on Oregon.
