Late, again. I tried to get my mind off Dec 4th coming yesterday. And exhausted myself. Slept right past noon. It is both an eighth and the sixteenth anniversary of two losses … so this post is dedicated to Firstly my dear hubby, Grizzly Bear & secondly to my Dad – whose birthday was Christmas Day.
My family is really big on listening to Mannheim Steamroller over the holidays, we start on Thanksgiving Day and carry it through the New Year. And I love hearing that orchestral music play “O’ Come, O’ Come Emmanuel” – Of course Mannheim Steamroller uses its Latin name – which is today’s prompt – “veni, veni”.
I found the complete lyrics with the translations on Google. It has been translated by numerous people – not sure who did this exact translation.
Today is the eighth anniversary, and it is weighing heavy on me. So to honor today, I am sharing one of my Waiting Room poems (a blitz) written this day eight years ago during passage.
And if you want to buy holiday gifts with poetry or art on it (and support me as a small business)nology, I have the following links for you.
