Day 27 of 30 in our 2018 NaNoWriMo & November Poem-A-Day (NovPAD) challenges. Only 4 days left of the writing challenges … Continue reading “Day 27 NaNoWriMo, NovPAD & announcement”
Late … I could swear I posted this before crawling into bed last night… Grrrrrr!
Today is the final Friday of September, which means it is the Final Friday Salem Art Walk – which I usually participate in as CC Willow.
Today will mostly be all ‘CC Willow’. Continue reading “Sept 28 prompt and poem”
Day twenty-seven – The countdown has gotten real! Only 4 days to go.
Today is officially “Poem In Your Pocket Day”. Hope you got a poem … I have printed out the meme shown and am carrying it as a scroll today. If you are looking for other ways to celebrate other than having a poem in your pocket, see my list of suggestions in yesterday’s blog.
As for my personal Poem A Day Challenge , today’s PAD is … a knife & fork.
Many poems explore the sight or sound or feel of things, and Proust famously wrote about the memories evoked by smell, but today NaPoWriMo invites you to write a poem that explores your sense of taste! This could be a poem about food, or wine, or even the oddly metallic sensation of a snowflake on your tongue.
Poets&Writers 30 Day Challenge follows the same track about writing with a focus on senses, except their tak on it is to write a poem to or about a person close to you using any of the senses except sight.
The Poetry School’s NaPoWriMo group has today’s prompt as The Elements. Your poem today should contain one or more of the elements, classical or scientific. This excellent dynamic periodic table will be very useful. The title of your poem should be your chosen element(s). Try to steer clear of gold and ‘the element of surprise’ because they’ve both been done to death, and go for one of the more interesting ones. Research is your friend.
Today, I am in artist mode hyperdrive. I start setting up my art showings for Friday’s Art Walk & May’s display this morning. So I am assembling pendants & printing cards like crazy!
I did get my “It’s A Trap” Storm Tooper head finished about an hour ago, I turn that in first thing this morning.
It is 1:38, and I have alot of product to print out & assemble …
Happy poeming, my friends!
Day twenty-four … Starting today there is only a full week left. Yes – now’s that time I start having that nagging little countdown start making it’s noise. Continue reading “NaPoWriMo Day 24 & Double Elevensies”
