Day 27 and the last Friday of the month. Which means … Salem Art Walk! Time I go full-on CC Willow … but it is National Poetry Month and the Art Walk theme is “Poetry this evening – So I get to play as “Ariel” as well!
My Friday is:
- prep for Art Walk
- sprain ankle
- turn in Poems & art to Group Show
- hang art for Art Walk,
- emcee the Poetry Open Mic
- DRINK WINE!
Okay – the second item wasn’t planned – but still accomplished. And I like a list of things crossed off, So it got added 0 just so I can cross it off and say “Well, I got that done”.
Today’s prompt is “Friday” … I’m thinking I already have a checklist poem started!
As for today’s Salem Art Walk – we need poets, poetry, and poetry-related art! One of the Annas has promised there will be wine for the Group Show and the Open Mic.
I say one of the Annas’ because we have three “Anna”s on the committee – Anna C, Anna E, Anna M.How can we resist playing with this? Which brings me to the shenanigans they have planned in my absence. One of the side attractions will be the much-suggested “Anna” show! All things Anna – Anna-themed art, poetry, music! I believe this show will be set up in Suite 14B.
So among tonight’s offerings are
- “Poetry” Group show – poems & art in Prisms Gallery
- Wine & Food at Prisms
- Open MIc at The Reed Underground near Prisms
- :Anna” Art Show
- Selfie stations
- Musicians
- ME – READING POETRY
- CC Willow art at TapRoot Lounge
