I keep falling down those rabbit holes; seriously, I think that March Hare has a thing for me. But there’s only so long I can walk on ceilings before the need becomes driving for solid earth again.
Yesterday’s prompt was “theater” — you can go for “The Theater” (as we actors call it) or for movie theater. Or maybe even write what is happening on the world “stage”. Maybe it brings to mind some everyday drama and your pen wants to bleed that.
Today’s prompt is “caramel”. A sweet syrup made dark by heat. Yum!
Which reminds me – as CC Willow, I have an art committee meeting tonight at Broadway Coffeehouse; looks like I can treat myself to a caramel steamer! I may not be able to wait that long tho’, maybe I’ll whip me up some caramel.
As much as I love the flavor of caramel, in writing I use it most as a color – as I do here in “Whiskey”
Countdown continues towards April and the start of NaPoWriMo and various Poem-A-Day challenges throughout Global Poetry Month. Can’t wait. Can’t wait. Can’t wait!
I identify myself as a Pacific Northwest poet. I have been writing poetry since 1976- and yes - I have been using the pen-name Ariel all this time! I can often be found writing in the Willamette Valley, in Pacific forests or along the Coastlines on Oregon.
Let me know what you think ...
