Today would have been my Dad’s birthday. Which conjures up a host of family memories …
So today, I will be savoring family time. My day will be spent with my brothers & my son – ham dinner, some board games, catching The Last Jedi movie. And we hope to Skype with my Sister and her family. It will be a quiet, enjoyable day.
And when it’s nap-time – and my brothers do conk out with naps – I will have time for poeming & art!
Whatever your Christmas Day looks like – I hope it is filled with sounds of joy!

I identify myself as a Pacific Northwest poet. I have been writing poetry since 1976- and yes - I have been using the pen-name Ariel all this time! I can often be found writing in the Willamette Valley, in Pacific forests or along the Coastlines on Oregon.
