Listening to Imagine Dragons which is one of my favorite bands these days. Something about their beat makes restlessness grow in my muscles, pushes me to move – do something, take action, seize the day …
And from their song “It’s time” I am taking the line “It’s time to begin, isn’t it” as today’s prompt.
You can perhaps listen to the song while writing and see what it speaks to you.

I don’t often work with song lyrics. I respect songs – but, when all is said and done, what is a song but a poem performed to music with choreography? And I steal lines occasionally from poems that really impact me, those that start to whisper other conversations it did not have with the original poet.
I remember getting dressed for work one December 10th in the pre-dawn light when a Bonnie Raitt song came on the radio. And my mind was on the date, an unspoken anniversary of meeting someone I lost. There was a cold mingling of the lyric “’cause I can’t make you love me” and the way the light made everything seem insubstantial, like vapor – which resulted in my poem “Secret” …
