I have been trying to cultivate the skills my disabilities have made difficult. As a test – I am not sure I shared this before – I agreed to coordinate the poetry competition of this year’s Oregon State Fair. Today is another All-Team meeting for the Living Arts coordinators so I am headed to the fairgrounds.
I have found one Judge already and have been looking for my second.
Which leads us to today’s prompt – “carmen – song; poem; oracle; prophecy”
My sample for carmen? … Random Song.
Announcement: I have gotten funding from a patron to upgrade this site. So I will be doing that over the next few days!

My archive of blog’ poetry prompts is here. You know – I’m all about the prompts!!
I identify myself as a Pacific Northwest poet. I have been writing poetry since 1976- and yes - I have been using the pen-name Ariel all this time! I can often be found writing in the Willamette Valley, in Pacific forests or along the Coastlines on Oregon.
