Ipoetry prompt/ Poetry prompy, Poetry prompt?

Sorry – I’m late today. stayed up last night with my CC Willow hat on – updating my database after neglecting it since September. Still need to finish that today as End Of Year is coming …

I like writing about current events – seeing what lessons can be gleaned from them or what wordds can heal. And given yesterday’s subway bombing … let’s have today’s prompt be “New York City”  …

You can write a sympathy poem, a memory, maybe a subway poem or a survivor poem. Maybe it will be a poem about terroirism (please – I ask that you not add to the hate speech & discrimination in the world) (but this is your poem – so say what you need to say) I would prefer you pour your love out to them, though; they’re our fellow humans and  are hurting from an attack “under their skin”..

Mine will be a “Prayers for New York” poem – I lived on Long Island briefly and spent my weekends in NYC, riding the subway; I can certainly empatheize with those frightened commuters righht now. This is an uncertain world currently in the USA, getting more uncertain everyday.  And my heart is greatly aching for my NYC right now.
